WPS Office Free

WPS Office Free is essentially a free alternative to Microsoft Word. For people who are looking for a  basic, no-frills word processor, WPS Office Free may be an ideal alternative.

WPS Office Free can be downloaded on your computer. It is relatively easy to use, particularly if you are familiar with how Microsoft Office works, as much of the set-up is the same. Thus, there's no real learning curve, and you can jump right into working with the program. 

The program allows you to do all the basic things you would expect out of a word processor, including writing your own works. There are basic formatting options available as well, and while these offerings do pale in comparison to what is available with Microsoft Office, you still have plenty of options. 

As the name implies, the program is totally free to download and use. There are no ads and no trial subscription you need to worry about. The program is still being supported by its developers, with the latest update coming in November 2020. This means that they are still working to ensure that the product is running as smoothly as possible and that there are no bugs.

Of course, as a free program, WPS Office Free is missing quite a few features that come standard with paid-for programs, like Word. This is the trade-off of using a free program.
